Community Transport

Community transport enables people to live independently, participate in their community and to access education, employment, health and other services.  It uses and adapts conventional vehicles to do exceptional things – always for a social purpose and community benefit, but never for a profit.

Community transport is responsive, accessible and flexible.

SEDCAT (South East Dorset Community Accessible Transport) has recently taken over the operational running of Bournemouth Community Transport and is now responsible for the BAT Bus, Community Cars and Shopmobility.

For more information visit the SEDCAT website.

Poole Community Transport Service is available to residents of the Borough of Poole who are eligible for/have a Connect Concessionary Travel Bus Pass or are registered disabled and do not have access to their own vehicle. The Service is made up of the Dial a Bus Service and the Voluntary Driver Service.
