Getting About Ticket

 A one-day or weekly ticket for unlimited travel on most buses within Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

The Getting About Ticket is accepted by the following operators

  • More Buses
  • Damory
  • Poole Route One
  • First Buses

You can purchase your getting Getting About Ticket in two ways – a smartcard or a paper ticket.  

Getting About Smartcard

Get your card from:

  • The information office at Bournemouth Rail and Coach Station (underneath Asda),
  • More Bus enquiry office at Poole Bus Station.

Once you have your card you can top up on the bus. Unfortunately it is not possible to refund any unused travel loaded on to a card so please keep it safe.

The ticket can be used for travel within Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.The ticket cannot be used for travel outside of this area.  The ticket cannot be used on the following services:

  • On 737 service between Northbourne and Bournemouth International Airport, so the card is not valid for travel to or from the Airport or the Aviation Business Park.
  • for travel to surrounding areas outside of the scheme area (for example, Ferndown, Ringwood, Salisbury, Swanage and Wimborne).
  • on night buses, dedicated school buses, or on special on-off services (for example, park and ride for special events).

Smartcard Getting About Ticket Prices – Day Ticket

  • Adult £5.00
  • Child £3 - for a young person up to 15 years, or up to 18 years with proof of age
  • Group - there is no option to buy a group smartcard at this stage 

Smartcard Getting About Ticket Pices - Weekly Ticket (7 Consecutive days)

  • Adult £22
  • Child £18 - for a young person up to 15 years, or up to 18 years with proof of ages
  • Group - there is no option to buy a group smartcard at this stage 

Getting About Paper Ticket  

Buy the ticket from the driver of the first bus you use and then it's valid for the rest of that day, simply show it when you board other buses.

The ticket can be used for travel within Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch, with the same vailidity as the smartcard, as detailed above.

  • Adult £5.80
  • Young Person (up to 18 with proof of age, otherwise up to 15 yrs) £3.60
  • Group (up to 2 Adults, 2 young people) £14.00
