Getting About Ticket

 A one-day ticket for unlimited travel on most buses within Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch.

The Getting About Ticket is accepted by the following operators

  • More Buses
  • RATP Yellow Buses
  • Damory
  • Poole Route One
  • First Buses

You can purchase your getting Getting About Ticket in two ways – a smartcard or a paper ticket.  

Getting About Smartcard

Get your card from – The information office at Bournemouth Rail and Coach Station (underneath Asda), Yellow Buses enquiry office (Avenue Road), or More Bus enquiry office at Poole Bus Station.

The ticket can be used for travel within Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch.The ticket cannot be used for travel outside of this area.  It is no longer valid for travel to/from Bournemouth Airport/Aviation Business Park.  It is also not valid on Yellow Buses outside of Zone A, affecting Buster's Beach Bus on the section west of Alum Chine to/from Sandbanks, or the Boscombe Pier section.

Smartcard Getting About Ticket Prices – Day Ticket

  • Adult £5.00
  • Young Person (up to 18 with proof of age, otherwise up to 15 yrs) £3.00

Getting About Paper Ticket  

Buy the ticket from the driver of the first bus you use and then it's valid for the rest of that day, simply show it when you board other buses.

The ticket can be used for travel within Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch, with the same vailidity as the smartcard, as detailed above. The ticket cannot be used for travel outside of this area. 

Getting About Paper Ticket Prices – Day Ticket

  • Adult £5.80
  • Young Person (up to 18 with proof of age, otherwise up to 15 yrs) £3.60
  • Group (up to 2 Adults, 2 young people) £14.00 

The exact area is shown on the local Area Bus Map (except on Yellow Buses where it is only valid in their network Zone A), a hard copy of this is available from the Information Office at Bournemouth Rail and Coach Station, underneath Asda.
